St John’s Theatre and Arts Centre is delighted to launch its residency programme for 2022. Performing artists, writers, and performing arts workers and all who create work for the stage, are invited to apply for our new support initiative, offering residencies for a 1-2 week duration, throughout 2022.

We want to support professional performers and performing arts workers in development of their practice or in making new work or indeed, in revival of a production for future performance and touring.

 

St John's Theatre can also offer a dedicated writing space for poetry, fiction and playwrighting. The  writer’s pod is located upstairs in a lively working theatre and arts centre space in the heart of Listowel town.

Each residency will be supported with access to the theatre, along with access to all the facilities and basic technical support. The award offers living accommodation for the period of the residency in Listowel and an appropriate artist stipend.

​

St John’s Theatre welcomes applications from artists in all disciplines but particularly those from the Performing Arts, as this Residency does not offer studio space.
