The Place That Found Me

Tetiana Teslyeva

Tetiana Teslyeva's acrylic Kerry landscapes trace coastline, light and a growing sense of belonging in a new home.

Ukrainian Artist Based in Co. Kerry to Open First Solo Exhibition at St. John's Theatre, Listowel "The Place That Found Me" — 4 July to 31 August 2026 Listowel, Co. Kerry —

Tetiana Teslyeva, a Ukrainian artist and interior designer living in Co. Kerry since 2022, will open her first solo exhibition, The Place That Found Me, at St. John's Theatre & Arts Centre, Listowel on Friday, 4 July 2026.

The exhibition brings together a series of acrylic landscape paintings inspired by the dramatic scenery of Kerry — its coastline, light and sense of quiet belonging.

For Teslyeva, who left Kharkiv following the Russian invasion, Kerry has become more than a temporary home. The landscapes she paints are a record of that process: of arriving somewhere unexpected and slowly recognising it as your own.

"I didn't choose Kerry — it chose me," says Teslyeva. "These paintings are my way of understanding that." Alongside her art practice, Teslyeva works as an interior designer with 18 years of experience and continues her design practice with local clients in Co. Kerry. She is also a member of the Visual Artists group in Listowel. The exhibition runs from 4
